TO DEVELOPMENT

We manage Compromiso Valle, a collective impact vehicle that, through direct dialogue and active listening, brings together and coordinates communities, businesses of all sizes, social leaders, and foundations to contribute to closing social gaps in Valle del Cauca. It aims to create opportunities for the population in 7 municipalities of the department and establish itself as an effective model of social innovation in Colombia.

Through this initiative, our aim is to contribute to strengthening the planning, investment, and management capacities of the education sector in Valle del Cauca, with a direct and positive impact on quality and coverage indicators, through the collaboration of public and private stakeholders.

Addressing challenges in healthcare service quality, effective access to healthcare services, and sector governance with a territorial focus, aiming to positively impact the health status of communities.

Consolidating general and professional English language training for young people as a response mechanism to the occupational needs of the BPO and Call Center sector in Valle del Cauca. This, in turn, enhances the competitiveness of the human talent as a promoter of the economy in the region in the B2B sector.

An alliance for early childhood, El mejor lugar para CreSer (The Best Place to Grow) aimed at contributing to closing gaps in early childhood through the collective efforts of public and private sectors, strengthening local capacities, social mobilization, and knowledge management in prioritized territories.

ProPacífico manages the business alliance with the aim of contributing to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030. Additionally, the initiative seeks to consolidate the region's leadership at the national level and position the business sector as a driver of a sustainable and inclusive development process for everyone. One of the main products is the consolidated sustainability report, which aims to aggregate the contribution made by companies to society in three dimensions: economic, social, and environmental.

Integrate Cali, Jamundi, Yumbo, and Palmira socially, economically, and spatially through strategic projects of sustainable mobility, public spaces, and urban renewal such as the Suburban Train, Green Corridor, and MIO.

Suburban Train:

To execute the first direct connection between Buenaventura and Puerto Carreño, a long-term project that covers a significant part of Colombian territory. The National Government has scheduled investments for 2022 in different sections, and significant progress has been made in the studies and designs of important crossings to connect the port with the Orinoco.

Develop a strategic regional competitiveness project that allows crossing the Western Cordillera through a 31.8 km road connection.

Building a 465-kilometer dual carriageway corridor between Cali and Rumichaca to enhance connectivity to the southern regions of the country and Ecuador, the second-largest destination for exports from Valle del Cauca and one of the nation's key trade partners. This project aims to improve accessibility for communities in the southwestern part of the country.

Modernizing the Alfonso Bonilla Aragón International Airport by expanding its infrastructure and improving its operations.

Ensuring the competitiveness of the Buenaventura port by achieving optimal depths for the passage of deep-draft vessels through the access channel. This will be accomplished by increasing the depth of both the inner and outer bays to dimensions comparable to those of other Pacific hub ports.

Construct, improve, and rehabilitate 310 kilometers of roads in the Valle del Cauca to enhance competitiveness and urban access to Cali and Palmira.

Completing the Buga-Buenaventura dual carriageway, consolidating the primary corridor for foreign trade from the interior of the country to Buenaventura. This will reduce travel times and transportation costs, positively impacting the country's competitiveness.

Connecting rural productive endeavors to external trade nodes and the national market, as well as improving communities' access to essential social services through an intervention program in the rural network of Valle del Cauca. This program involves designing an investment optimization plan for strategic corridors and asset management in the network.

Pre-feasibility studies to identify the most viable alternative for revitalizing the Pacific Railway corridor by connecting Buenaventura with the Central Railway Corridor.
